Om Studios Teacher Training  guides you in exploring the boundless world of yoga while learning to skillfully teach the content most meaningful to you.

 Lindsay Wetterau & Lynn Cordell combine their decades of experience and diverse training backgrounds to provide a program that teaches you to learn both the science of the body and the philosophy of the spirit.

Throughout the 8 weekends, Lynn and Lindsay will continue to emphasize the three main focal points of the course: anatomy, philosophy and teaching techniques.

However, you will be encouraged to take from the material what is most meaningful to you and craft a style of teaching that is authentically your own.

  • Exploring various styles of yoga, some of which include: Hatha, Vinyasa, and Yin
  • History of Yoga
  • Pranayama, Meditation; Mantra
  • Ayurveda
  • Introduction to Sanskrit, Mythology & Spirituality
  • Safety, Alignment & Anatomy
  • Teaching Tools: Sequencing, Voice and Cuing, Theming, Music, Timing
  • Business of Yoga: How to Be Successful in this Profession
  • Yoga Sutras and the 8 Fold Path
  • Energy Anatomy: Chakras, Vayus, & Nadis
  • Advanced Pranayama Practices & How to Teach Them
  • Advanced Meditation Tools & Teaching
  • Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga
  • Hands on Adjustments
  • Ethics of the Yoga Teacher

From early in the course, students will begin practice teaching. Practice teaching will evolve as the weeks pass, beginning with one-on-one teaching with other students, then small groups, to eventually the entire YTT class.

It is the belief of the Om Lead Instructors that “practice makes perfect” and only with ample time spent using your voice, standing in front of the group, and actually teaching, will the Om Student grow to be an exceptional teacher.

  • Yoga Sutras and the 8 Fold Path

  • Aromatherapy & Essential Oils in Class
  • Advanced Meditation Tools & Teaching
  • Yoga Body: Diet, Hormones, Lifestyle

On the first weekend of the program, a minimum $1,000 of tuition must be paid for student participation.

In addition to the 8 weekends, students are required to complete additional homework and out of classroom assignments which include:

  • 20 hours of classroom homework (anatomy, meditation, sutra reading, etc)
  • Observe 6 classes taught by SYTT instructor with reflections
  • 12 hour practicum including teaching 6 classes with reflections
  • Take a minimum of 20  yoga classes

Course Fee: $2850 *Payment plans available

As part of your teacher training participation, you will receive an unlimited yoga membership during your training. We want to encourage your personal practice and growth.

At the end of this program, if you meet all course requirements and hours, you will be qualified to register with Yoga Alliance as a 200 hour Yoga Instructor. You will not be tested at the end of this course. Certification will be awarded to you based on participation and all homework completed and required hours fulfilled.
