8/8 Lions Gate Portal - yoga, sound, reiki
An Evening of Intention, Ritual, Movement, Reiki & Sound
The Lion's Gate Portal is celebrated each year on August 8th as a time of reflection, clarity, and new beginnings—a symbolic invitation to pause, reconnect with your inner wisdom, and realign with what matters most as summer winds down.
Join Destynee and I for a nourishing two-hour experience designed to help you slow down, reconnect, and move into this next season with intention.
We'll begin with a guided intention-setting workshop, taking time to reflect on where you are, what you're ready to release, and what you wish to cultivate moving forward. Through thoughtful journaling, guided inquiry and group exploration, you'll create space to connect with your deepest intentions and ritual.
From there, we'll transition into a gentle Slow Flow Yoga practice. Throughout class and into savasana, you'll receive the subtle healing energy of Reiki, a gentle Japanese energy practice that encourages relaxation, balance, and energetic restoration. Jordan and Destynee will offer Reiki throughout the room while the space is filled with the soothing vibrations of alchemy crystal sound bowls.
This evening is an invitation to release and reconnect with your inner landscape, and step forward with greater clarity, presence, and trust.
Yin & Sound
A grounding fusion of deep stretch and meditative sound
This extended practice combines the stillness of yin yoga with the restorative qualities of sound healing to support deep rest in both the body and mind.
The first portion of class will guide students through longer-held yin postures designed to gently target the connective tissues, fascia, hips, spine, and nervous system. The practice will then transition into an immersive sound journey with crystal singing bowls and grounding instruments to support relaxation and integration.
This class is intentionally slow, calming, and accessible to all levels.
Restorative Yoga
A practice of slowing down, softening, and deep support
Restorative Yoga is a deeply nourishing practice designed to support the nervous system through stillness, breath, and fully supported postures. Using props such as bolsters, blankets, and blocks, students are guided into restful shapes held for longer periods of time to encourage relaxation and release.
Rather than stretching with effort, restorative yoga invites the body into a state of ease where healing and regulation can naturally occur. Gennica does a beautiful job guiding the space for you to rest and receive.
Return to the Roots - Extended Vinyasa
Mantra, Movement, and Pranayama
A 105-minute traditional vinyasa practice designed to create space for the full experience of yoga. Rather than moving from pose to pose with the constraints of time, this extended offering invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and immerse yourself in the richness of the practice.
Together we'll move through an intentional vinyasa sequence, refining alignment, exploring foundational pranayama techniques, and playing with optional arm balances along the way. We'll also experience bhakti yoga—the yoga of devotion—through simple chanting, creating an opportunity to connect not only with the body, but with the heart of the practice.
This evening is an invitation to return to its roots: movement, breath, presence, stillness, and self-inquiry. With a little more time, we create space for a practice that feels complete—one that nourishes the body, steadies the mind, and reconnects us to the deeper traditions of yoga.
All are welcome. While some experience with vinyasa is helpful, variations and modifications will be offered throughout, allowing you to practice in a way that feels supportive and authentic to your body.

Wellness Day Retreat
Retreat to the Vineyard
Join us for an afternoon of movement, connection, and nourishment nestled among the rolling hills of Holman Ranch in the heart of Carmel Valley.
Step away from the pace of everyday life and into a thoughtfully curated experience designed to reconnect you with yourself, your breath, and the beauty of the natural world. Surrounded by vineyards, oak trees, and wide open skies, we'll spend the afternoon slowing down together through mindful movement, deep rest, and shared community.
The retreat begins with a gentle, all-levels slow flow yoga practice on the lawn, inviting you to ground into the landscape and awaken the body with intention. From there, we'll move into the historic Carriage House where Lindsay and Jordan will guide you through an active breathwork journey, followed by a crystal sound journey—creating space to regulate the nervous system, restore the body, and settle into a deeper sense of presence.
As the evening unfolds, we'll gather around the table for a beautiful family-style dinner thoughtfully prepared by local chef Antoine Blandin and paired with Holman Ranch's estate-grown wines. Together we'll celebrate the simple joys of good food, meaningful conversation, and the feeling of being fully present.

Move into Stillness - Slow Flow and Yoga Nidra
Join us for an evening designed to restore both body and mind as you flow into stillness.
We'll begin with a 30-minute Slow Flow practice, moving mindfully through gentle, breath-led postures to release tension, awaken the body, and create space for ease. This intentional movement prepares both the nervous system and the mind to settle more deeply into stillness.
From there, you'll be guided into a 30-minute Yoga Nidra, often referred to as "yogic sleep." Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation practiced while lying comfortably in a supported resting position. Rather than falling asleep, you'll be invited into a unique state between wakefulness and sleep, where the body can experience profound relaxation while the mind remains gently aware.
There is nothing to achieve and nowhere to be—simply allow yourself to be guided as layers of physical, mental, and emotional tension begin to soften.
This practice is suitable for all levels. Come as you are, wear comfortable clothing, and allow yourself an hour to slow down, restore, and return home to yourself.

Living Your Yoga Workshop
Living Your Yoga
A Workshop with Andy & Margaret
Yoga is far more than something we practice on the mat. At its heart, yoga is a way of moving through life with presence, compassion, honesty, and awareness. While our physical practice helps cultivate strength and flexibility, the deeper teachings of yoga invite us to carry those qualities into every conversation, challenge, relationship, and ordinary moment of our day.
Join us for an afternoon of reflection, discussion, and gentle movement as we explore what it truly means to live our yoga beyond the studio walls. Through two accessible yoga practices, guided conversation, journaling, and self-inquiry, we'll discover how the wisdom of yoga can become a steady companion through both moments of ease and seasons of uncertainty.
Together, we'll explore questions such as:
What does it mean to live in alignment with our values?
How do we remain grounded and present when life feels difficult?
How can the teachings of yoga become a lived experience rather than simply a philosophy or physical practice?
Whether you're new to yoga or have been practicing for years, this workshop offers an opportunity to deepen your understanding of yoga as a lifelong practice—one that supports greater awareness, resilience, and connection both on and off the mat.
